Sergeant First Class William Delequa begins a treacherous march with two Cavalry scouts on a blistering summer morning. Their mission is to establish an observation post to deter enemy forces during a massive war-game exercise at the Joint Reaction Training Command in Camp Polk, Louisiana.

As the soldiers navigate the unrelenting forest for hours on end, they stumble upon a stranger in the wilderness. This stranger is Kurt Munn, a deranged and psychotic husband who has committed heinous acts against his wife, Ava Munn, and her lover, Denis Halberson, deep within the boonies.

Personalities clash and tempers flare as the trio of soldiers must decide whether to risk their lives to take action against a madman set on revenge. But the lunatic isn't the only presence with them in the bush.

Willie takes you into the heart of pure HELL and realism with this one!

After first reading his horror classic "Blood In The Woods" and LOVING it, this was sent to me by the author and whoa!. Though extremely realistic and disturbing in parts, the real horrors of war and what it can do to the human is brought out in this horrifying tale of brutality told by Joe Willie like only he can do. 1st class sergeant William Delequa is on a 'war game' training mission with two young cadets when they come upon Kurt Munn, and little do they realize....their lives will never be the same again. If you like your Horror with reality and realism thrown into it, get ready to go Hell and back with J. P. Willie in his novella; "Hot Summer Savior" you will NEVER forget it! Here is a review I did for his 'Blood in The Woods' enjoy. Richard Wilson
