This was my introduction to Rayne Havok, and even though I understand this is not her usual offering, I found this story to be devastatingly beautiful. So much emotion captured within a few short pages, a lifetime of love and pain poured into such a short tale of love, and loss. I will say that I hope she does more stories like this one and continues her usual offering of savagery and gore. 4 stars

"Lost Soul" by Rayne Havok May, who is tired of her endless depression and pain, decides it's time to finally let go. Things take a drastic change however when on what was supposed to be her final day on earth, she finds a reason to stay alive. But now, if May has any hope of saving her soul, she'll have to die for it. And dying when you don't want to, isn't as easy as when you do. This story is COMPLETELY different than anything Havok has written before. I went back and forth the entire time reading on how I felt about this read. There were times I was like yes this is great! Other times, I asked myself why Havok would do that. Ultimately though, this was a story I really enjoyed. I think the best way to describe this read would be heart murder and while it isn't as extreme as her other stuff, it's still triggering in places just the same. 4 (I posted a video review prior to this but I try to leave written reviews for Goodreads & Amazon).

Wow!! Just..Wow!! This was unlike anything I've read before from Rayne (and I've read them all! ) but it was still a stunning piece of work! Raw and emotional, shocking, heartbreakingly beautiful and so entrancingly written!! I absolutely loved it!! A solid 5/5 purple hearts from me
