Love the concept but the humor and setting is cheesey in a Scooby Doo to early aughts meh reality show way (like they say the word spoopier and biatch) and I don’t get any of the references so assume the author’s older (though YouTube is mentioned) and British. I like the fragment sentences that make the pace more ominous and the cheerleader outfits. I don’t like ouija board stuff but glad it’s to contact Satan and Lizzie—not some boring ghost. The ironic part starting around the Thelma & Louise bit is good too. Didn’t expect a funny footnote. Seems there are lost opportunities for axe wound and gash comparisons. It’s already so unsexy by the end w/ all the literal sh!t talk.
