Doug has a fever, the worst fever of his life. Up until now, his days were lived in a standard routine revolving around his local punk scene, spending his time at the music hall, listening to mediocre bands and pining over Judy, the girl of his dreams. But some outsiders have plans for Doug. Plans to descend his routine life into a punk rock hell. As Doug and his friends try to discover the source of the heat erupting from his body, it becomes clear that they might experience a very real Hell if time runs out.

Doug spent most of his days enjoying the punk scene. One night, everything changes for him after he is attacked by a small group. Something is off about this incident and now Doug and his friends are trying to find out exactly what happened to him and why weird things are going on with his body. This was my first time reading this author’s work and I’m sure it won’t be my last. I was impressed with how original the story is. The whole book was intriguing, especially trying to find out what was going on with Doug. The author kept me guessing as he pulls us deeper into the story. I thought it was well written and takes the reader to some unexpected places with all the twists and turns.
