Up, Out of Cities That Blow Hot and Cold by Charlee Jacob

As the city literally comes alive—morgue freezers sprouting arms and legs, hungry walls calling out to be caressed—Mike and Daria race to find release from the rising heat and brutal cold that have found homes inside their bodies.

Ghostly smoke demons arise from cracks in the sidewalk. Cities around the world have lost contact with each other. Monuments are twisting, crumbling and exploding as the denizens of major cities fight to find releif from the flames of anger and the icicle daggers of cold that have invaded their hearts.

As the blizzard rages and the city erupts in flame, only the touch of another can douse the flames and melt the ice.
