The Dollhouse is a fun novella about a man who has an eye for special antiquities. He is a dollhouse collector, but not just any dollhouse. He wants the ones made by the premier maker and they are not cheap! There is a rumor that this premier maker completed a fourth and final dollhouse that was considered his masterpiece. An ad intrigues the man and he must go check it out for himself. Lee writes this in the style of one of his favorite authors, M.R. James. So this was a little different than what I am used to reading from Lee. But, it works! There were some words used that I honestly had to go look up, so I learned some vocabulary while I read! I don’t want to give away too much because this is a novella. So if you are an Edward Lee fan, you will love it and recognize it might be in James’s style, but it’s all Ed Lee!
