A very engaging, well-written and easy read!
For its length, it does such a good job at immersing the reader in the life of Anya as she has a fateful encounter with the mysterious traveler Owen. The two characters quickly develop a passionate and intriguing relationship, and the villagers' interactions with them brings the world to life throughout this romantic yet haunting story. I loved it!

A fun & evocative read!
This story draws you in with its classic fairy tale format, but there's more going on than just happily ever after. It has a sexy, spooky plot line with characters and visual story-telling that will stick with you long after you finish reading. I loved the exploration of identity and the tension of being an outsider while having that be what makes you powerful. If you're looking for a page-turner, fully dimensional characters, and subversive undercurrents/deeper themes, pick up a copy!

A fun & evocative read!
I got sucked right into this page-turner: a little sexy, a little dark, the characters and conundrum of this story stay with you long after you finish the last page. A wonderful exploration of identity and the tension of being an outsider while having that be what makes you powerful, I loved the undercurrents and deeper themes camped in this classic fairy tale format. The descriptiveness and visuals conjured may haunt you (in the best way!). If you're looking for a very fun and evocative read, give this one a try!

Perfect for October!
This was an excellent short read. I was immediately drawn to the characters and loved every bit of it.
