A beautiful short with interesting concepts
This is an update on my prior review. Todd Love has garnered an immense amount of respect from me in seeing my review and fixing the minor issues I had in the current version of “Quietly Drowning.” This is a great thing to behold; a writer who actively strives to improve and not only takes constructive criticism, but acts on it. This sorrowful tale is worth a read. Thanks for the excellent work, Todd. Never stop! Best regards and Dark Thoughts, James Fisher

Interesting concepts with potential
“Quietly Drowning” has an excellent degree of restraint that is often a non-factor in extreme horror and splatter punk. I find the focus on emotional dread and ambiguity lends a power to a story that could otherwise be just so-so. My primary issue is in the editing- (I.e., ‘Angel’ is written ‘angle’ for pretty much the entirety of the short). Overall, I think the concepts and tone outweigh the aforementioned shortcomings. Todd Love, you’ve gained a new reader. Keep it up!

Stellar!
Blown away. This hauntingly beautiful and tragic tale took my breath away. Dark, poetic, and sad. It is hard to explain without giving things away, but let me say that days after reading it, I am still thinking about it. First I have read of Todd Love and I am definitely reading more! Stellar. 5 severed fingers out of 5
