James Newman

James Newman is the author of a diverse selection of horror and suspense tales, often told with a Southern twang and a hint of pitch-black humor. His published work includes MIDNIGHT RAIN, THE WICKED, ANIMOSITY, UGLY AS SIN, ODD MAN OUT, RIDE OR DIE, 666 HAIR-RAISING HORROR MOVIE TRIVIA QUESTIONS, and IN THE SCRAPE (co-written with Mark Steensland).  His novella THE SPECIAL (also a collaboration with Steensland) was adapted as a feature film in 2020.

When he isn't writing, James enjoys listening to loud rock n' roll and watching college basketball.  Go, Tar Heels!
