Godless League #3 (The Doze - "Home") by Drew Stepek
John Slaughterdozer is: THE DOZE
Welcome to Glamor City. Gentrification is not welcome.
An inhuman beast made of radioactive concrete fights against evil and greedy land development corporation Globoshame. No one is safe from The Doze, his path of merciless destruction, and his misguided vigilante justice.
The Doze is a hyper-violent superhero meltdown story that will have you cheering for vengeance and wanting to pound someone's face off with sheetrock.
Are you sick of pussy superheroes who have too much backstory and not enough killer instinct? Do you wish comic books would just jump from one brutal kill scene to another more brutal kill scene? Do you think like a nine-year-old who just watched I Spit on Your Grave for the first time?
The Godless League is for you!
Short on story. Long on hyper-violent, mostly misguided, vigilante justice is what Stabberger, Lushbutcher, and Slaughterdozer are all about!
Leave the genuine world-building and plausible origin stories to the mainstream… all we care about is bloodlust and carnage! Fuck them, anyway. They’ve taken enough of your money and given you nothing but disappointment. When was the last time a Marvel hero cut off a Nazi’s cock? Steve Rogers doesn’t got the guts. What kind of hero is that?
Godless League is a new monthly, psychotic, bizarro, short series from the juvenilely sadistic minds of John Baltistberger, Lucy Leitner, and Drew Stepek.
I always forget how great Drew is at storytelling. This was awesome. Fast paced and packed with blood.
I always forget how great Drew is at story telling. This was fricking awesome. Fast paced and packed with blood.
Man, Drew's intro to the Doze was badass!! Savage as fuck and I love Drew's writing style. He has a way of making you very happy about the violence occurring The antagonists are assholes and it's satisfying as hell to see them Dozed. Can't wait for more Godless League, such a great set of characters!!!
Before reading about The Doze and his battle against Unit 222, I thought construction workers were just mildly annoying catcallers who loved delaying projects, but now I know their true colors. They are cold, heartless killers that won’t give a second thought about fooling an innocent man into thinking he had a job offer or shed a tear when they kill women and children. Take heed of this cautionary tale, so what happened to The Doze doesn’t happen to you!
Completely blood soaked, fast paced, mayhem! Great twist at the end! Loved it! Love Doze
