Fate is a Fickle Fucker by Rayne Havok
Exclusive to Godless!
3,500-word short story.
Fate is a fickle fucker, just one little decision can make a hell of a difference, a shift so significant, it could ruin you.
loved it, one reason I never drive through deserted places.. lmao
I am not specifically sure how I feel about this one. Now, that doesn't mean that the creativity of the story here was lacking, especially when it is packed into a quick bite. The first part was a couple taking a wrong turn and they end up being tortured by some really sick individuals. Coming from the mind of Rayne, it really was horrifying! The second part, Rayne gave us a sweeter ending. I guess if you look at it as fate having different paths, then it makes sense. It all depends on the choices that are made. In all honesty, I didn't like this one as much as Rayne's other stories, and that is completely fine. I will definitely still be reading her other books, for sure.
Rayne always pulls me out of a reading funk and for that woman I thank you! A piggylicious treat that hits just the right spot. If ever there was a time to prove that women know best then this is it. 5 a-moo-zing stars from me.
I went into this read blind and I loved it. What a fun, twisted tail …see what I did there :) This is my second read of Rayne Havok and I’m excited to read more. Just bought some the other day! Wonderful characters and outrageous horror. To get all the juicy meat in a few thousand words is insane. This is a fun fast terrifying ride. Loved it! Oink!
Fate is a Fickle Fucker was by far my least favorite read written by Rayne Havok. Mukbang Princess was really good, Furry Beaver was amazing, and Killstream was stellar. I think the ending is what really made this a bit of a miss for me compared to past Havok reads. Overall, the story is written well, the characters are decent, but I didn’t find myself wanting to immediately re-read FIAFF as I have with other titles. I deducted two stars mainly because I was not very impressed by the outcome. Nevertheless, it is still a fantastic short.
