Interview with the publisher/editor:
So what makes this horror anthology so special?
Joe Mynhardt: It’s based on a classic film, and written from the perspective of professional authors who grew up watching this movie. Its locations vary from the New York scenes used in the movie (including those claustrophobic tunnels) to the countryside and even aboard a ship off the coast of England.
Tell us more about the CHUD movie and how you got involved.
Joe: It's a genre-defying cult classic film from the 80s with monsters living in the sewers of New York. This book has elements of horror, action, science fiction, and some pretty awesome gunfights. Eric S. Brown came up with the idea and approached the producer. After a long phone call to Andrew Bonime, we got the green light. We even received some amazing behind-the-scenes photos, which you’ll be able to access through an eBook copy of this book.
Why should readers give this 80s monster movie tribute anthology a try?
Joe: I don’t think I’ve ever read a horror anthology with so much action. It was a fun horror movie and now it’s also a fun read by some great authors.
