It doesn't matter if it's completely mucky, no job is too big for Mister Sucky.

Serial killer Clive Beauchamp has checked into his hotel room and is all set to increase his death toll by one. However, intended target Angela Foxe has other ideas and murderer becomes murderee. Determined to save Clive's soul from eternal damnation, an ancient evil instructs one of his acolytes to intervene. Unfortunately for Clive, the hired help is not the brightest bulb in the box, and instead of Clive being born anew within an avatar of unparalleled strength and brutality, his spirit is interred inside a vacuum cleaner.

Irked but undeterred, Clive decides that the only course of action is to finish what he started, taking care not just of Angela, but everyone else involved in the plot to kill him and stuff his corpse in a dingy cleaning cupboard. The only thing that can stop him comes not from the other hotel guests or staff, but from within, as a growing, nagging voice threatens to escalate a simple case of revenge, into something far, far worse.

Will Clive get payback for being killed?
Is a vacuum cleaner capable of murder and mayhem?
Does this book suck?
Does this synopsis blow?
Can you come up with a better vacuum cleaner related joke?

Mr Sucky is the first in Duncan P. Bradshaw's new range of books. With his work lurking on the borders of horror and bizarro, and in an effort to pigeonhole himself, he has created his own genre 'Gore-com',which is as pretentious as it sounds.

Suck it xD

The story starts pretty much with a warped view of a guy's home life. I mean, seriously, his dad gets pissed off at the little shit. I mean, I'm angry freddos are nearly a pound, but you don't see me chopping off fingers. I can understand why Clive is so messed up. I enjoyed Clive’s split dialogue in his head. You got the feel of both personalities within the first two paragraphs; the back and forth was hilarious. I enjoyed the conversation during the dismemberment of Clive by Angela that was bloody hilarious, and then the introduction to Myrtle, the loyal disciple to the dark lord...Keith. Although to be fair, I believe that maybe he should have rethought that move altogether. The fact that his essence gets shifted into a hoover pretty much says it all. The whole story is bonkers, insane, incredible, and at points grizzly I mean, what is not to love a serial killer spirit gets stuffed in a hoover. The detail into the separate personalities within Clive is almost dead pool style, and I love it. Malcolm’s chapter gave you an inside look into why Clive won't be missed more than anything. Harry and Gary was also an excellent chapter that set the scene for Clive's demise from another view. But Foreplay’s chapter had me laughing my ass off, mainly due to all the various names. Plus, excellent die-hard reference, dude. But the murder scene had me in stitches, and the stage was set for it well beforehand. The later chapters were a natural twist and an excellent surprise that I didn't see it coming.

A fine feast of absurdity and butchery

A riotous explosion of gleeful murder. Chopped and sucked and stabbed, as much and more that a hoover can do. Plus there’s a load of other killers hanging around - more the merrier. And there’s no hero here. No crappy twat to save the day. Good. All with great hilarity like a comedy of errors. And who knew the Mr Sucky model was so deadly? Every soldier should carry one into battle. LOL. Lots of cool stuff here. Loved it.

Suck it!

Mr Sucky is a weird tale told from the perspective of a serial killer/later vacuum cleaner. It look me a little while to get used to the narrative unfolding through the protagonist’s conversation with his alter ego, but I enjoyed the jokes, the gore, and the overall absurdity. Kinda want a Mr Sucky action figure now!
