Lord knows all I want for Christmas is a Kaiju of my own but I'll settle for a beautiful articulated story about one. As we fall into the madness of Dr Constantine (also love the name, all the Hellblazer love). The ominous tale of a world being cleansed by the Seven Thunders and the appearance of a giant eye. Well, count me in! Loving the religious horror/occult vibes, eerie setting and intensely fascinated character of the Dr. But there is also some kinda dark comedy in there from the others at the mental institute. One line broke me instantly as all hell broke loose, and Constantine is raving about being worthy. Another patient pops up and goes “This man speaks truth! I know! My pecker gets hard anytime someone speaks truth!” Not gonna lie a little part of me was sad to see the Rod of Truth go. But the carnage that unfolds is straight out of a Godzilla movie which made me love this even more. I couldn't help though but think of Sam Neil, especially with what Constantine does to the orderly. Of course if you are familiar with the Southern Comfort Series by Ezekiel, you will be happy to hear that Tetromet makes an appearance. All the big monster horrors you could want are in this short sharp Christmas treat.

Have yourself a merry Kaiju Christmas and check this story out! This one was a fun one! I enjoyed the story line mixed with the creatures as well as the main character, Dr. Constantine. Very Lovecraftain in places, with a document that makes a person go insane when they read it. There were some great scenes in the mental hospital but my favorite was the man with the "rod of truth". I laughed out loud over it!. Great mix of blood, chaos, and creature destruction.
