We Don't Care if You're Offended: A McHardy Hawker Anthology by Simon McHardy and Sean Hawker
From mischievous morgue workers to mutant rabbits, a haunted transwoman to Buddy Holly’s parasitic twin, every unique tale pushes a topical boundary like it’s an old lady into the path of an oncoming bus.
Bizarre. Hilarious. Tragic. Completely uncensored. The gruesome duo’s first anthology is a feast of literary filth that is certain to cement their reputation as splatterpunk kings.
And, if you are offended by any of the material contained within these pages, don’t bother complaining. McHardy & Hawker don’t care.

Offended
"we don't care about your opinion!" But make a whole book because you're crying about it. Live with the fact that your books suck ass
Exactly What I Was Hoping For
*I’m not going to give you the ‘what this book is about’ blurb – you can read that elsewhere. 1. I love Simon and Sean so even though I’ve read a fair number of the stories in this collection, I needed to scoop this one up so I could read their new stories: 'The Leprechaun’s Hat' and 'Chomper', and I wasn’t disappointed. 2. This pair truly DNGAF if they say something that offends you. Truly. And I think that’s admirable in today’s environment. Everyone (myself included at times) is so quick to jump on everyone else for the smallest things. So quick to gatekeep every. single. little. thing. Speaking of: I LOVED River’s intro., it got me hyped up for the depravity I was about to feast my eyes upon, and it honestly touched my heart a bit. As someone who loves to read the grossest nastiest most offensive stuff, I do sometimes worry that society is working hard to take that right away from me, or to shame authors into not wanting to write those things, but there’s a rather large market for that content, and River reminded me that we will always have people who cater to us, we just have to find them. 3. NOTHING is safe in this collection and I freaking loved it. Simon and Sean come for everything and anything that you love. They come for bunnies for heck’s sake! AND THE TOOTH FAIRY. While we're on that subject - 'Chomper', oh my gosh, I may have a new favorite by these 2. It was so freaking good. Just so bleak and bloody and absolutely absurd; exactly what I'm hoping for when I read this pair!

Brutal, Irreverent, and Hilarious!
I had a blast with this one, which is always the case whenever I read anything by these two gentlemen. I enjoyed all the stories, but my favorites were "Yoga School Massacre," "Munging," "Scissors," and "Demonectomy." I'm looking forward to more from McHardy and Hawker. Highly recommended!
