Monstrous tale
There were certainly some fascinating creatures in this story, the descriptions alone were extremely creepy. The story itself was a bit too short. I wanted more meat to the tale to sink my teeth into, as I did love the concept. Give me more details about the game, the developer, etc. Charlie is developing a scary video game when suddenly the monsters start appearing in real life. This sounded like an awesome video game idea, I’d love to know what happens next, if the game is ever released…
Real Nightmare
Right from the starting paragraph, we get an eerie and unsettling atmosphere. Which is then revealed to be part of Charlie's video game project. The whole thing has a very Amnesia vibe to it, the reader understands Charlie's uncertainty of the difference between reality and dream. As he goes through a waking nightmare, we follow Charlie as he starts to lose himself to the game. With elements of psychosis and sleep paralysis moments that will make your toes curl this is the book for nightmare fuel.
Digital nightmare
Fast paced eerie story. I was enthralled with all the different creatures, very imaginative! The author really knows how to bring a video game to life, I'd honestly love to see this as a movie.
