Jonathan is a nature photographer, and he's venturing off the beaten path into a small, largely untouched mountain oasis in the Nevada desert. Hoping to capture images of oncoming monsoon activity as it crosses the barren landscape, he stumbles across a hidden lake and life that should not exist--at least not anymore.

I need more!!

This is a really short, quick read, and it's full of heart and gorgeous scenery too! I found it quite beautiful, haunting and moving! (The scenery brought to my mind all the wonderful photos Nik posts on his FB page, of all the stunning scenery that surrounds him in real life, and that I am totally jealous of! ) You get quite an ominous feeling from the start, its tense in parts and the story unfolds smoothly and gratifyingly, towards its conclusion. Photographer Jonathan is intent on getting the best photos he can from the surrounding picturesque landscapes. Despite being warned off of a particular spot, he continues, and he discovers a little more than he bargained for. During his fascination, things take a bit of a turn! What he discovers is a beautiful thing, but it doesn't feel the same about him. This is a heartwarming story, yes there is horror and a bit of gore too, but it left me feeling happy and content….almost! I NEED MORE!! I need this particular quest to continue……please?
