if you are squeamish, maybe not eat before or after reading this, lol
I loved this, I should probably be grossed out by this story, but I was so caught up in the characters and what was happening, I forgot about the gross stuff, in saying that, if you are a bit squeamish, maybe not eat before of after reading this for a while. This story is exceptionally well written and flows smoothly, with a similar feel to Dead Inside by Chandler Morrison. I just found out there is a Soup 2, so that is going on my to read list.
5 stars!!
I LOVED this! Ashley was abused by her father as a child and never socialized with people and kept to herself throughout her childhood into adulthood. Death has intrigued her since a young age and she saw this as a way to seek revenge against her father and people like him, in pursuing a career directly relating to death and becomes a mortician. She works at a morgue that mostly intakes prisoners (mostly with bad history such a rapists/sex trafficking, etc..) when her workplace acquires the HT500 she immediately takes responsibility over her superior to take it upon herself to be the one in charge of this particular machine. She has uses for this particular contraption ;) she later finds a message from an unknown person that is apart of her dark web group online. This person makes her an offer that she can’t refuse or she may lose her career. I can’t wait to read the second book!!
Good for the Soul
A fast pace sip of something hot served on the dark web. Never mind the pocket value of this exquisite broth but what your stomach can handle. Disturbing and tasty DeJonge holds the spoon for what’s good for the soul.
Gahh
Great use of suspense in a primarily lonely narrative!! My only gripe is that it ended just as the plot was really thickening, and that it lacked finite closure.
I want more!
Absolutely amazing. I was hooked completely.
