More Tales of Terror & Socks

I mean, this was a totally over the top story of sock sex and betrayal. To the extreme, I mean the sock ‘knitting’ scene had me in pieces and the sock references and puns were EVERYTHING. Kinda felt like Brad deserved to be used as a cumsock, for kicking Camille and their baby of the boxes spartan style. I had to keep reminding myself this was a dramatisation of love between two socks in an attic, because I got that invested! Camilla returns to discover a very disturbing truth about her beloved Brad and well, it's like an episode of Drama has unfolded. Then the sentence, she was not my sister, she was Polly Ester, came out and I'm back to laughing my ass off. I mean I thought Jamie’s last tale was bonkers insane but this one really outdid itself. As he spun this yarn (yes I went there) I found myself mortified and in a fit of hysterics at the same time. A twisted tale of be careful what you create that will make your stomach flip at the end!

It's a good yarn

Colleen Hoover, move over. (Please note that I've never actually read any of her books so taking liberties here) I don't read short stories unless their subject really stands out, and this story was one of them when i came across it on Godless. I love quirky shit and this one promised sock puppet erotica, so i thought it would be rude not to! What I found was an unexpected metaphoric depth that knocked my socks off (pun intended). All I'm saying is that I'm really happy i grabbed it because it is just plain brilliant. "I am the right sock for you, as you are the left for me"

Mad Genius!!

THIS….WAS….GENIUS! Cute, sinister, unique, glorious genius! Brad and Camille are confined to the attic, but they are so in love with each other, they're more than happy there among the dusty boxes of wonders. Until a box of knitting arrives, complete with needles, and a whole new experience for them both. When they accidentally create a little something, it tears them apart and they go their separate ways. Later, when Camille realises just how much she loves and needs Brad, she goes looking for him. But Brad has moved on! With the only thing to eat being the insects roaming the attic, things take a bizarre turn, and the family eventually grows so much closer to one another again, probably the closest they've ever been! Always knit with a pattern, not just with passion! A delightful and darkly disturbing yarn! Completely chilling!
