It's been a bit since we've had the pleasure of a tale from The Professor. But when he delivers, he always delivers the best. This tale, a take on Poe's Mask of the Red Death, is as visceral and immersive as you'd expect. The prose is as poetic as it is disturbing. Prince Prospero is throwing a party. A very exclusive party. One where he wants his guests to indulge in that which they dare not otherwise. Oh yes, there will be blood, but that's only a teaser of what's to come. As always, I suggest listening to the story read by the author. You WILL get completely sucked in and fully engaged with the depravity and poetry of it. Highly recommend.
