Tertomet Rising (Southern Discomfort 4) by Ezekiel Kincaid
In the summer of 1987, Detective Melancan’s teenage son and his friends were victims of a cult murder in Central, Louisiana. Though not allowed to work on the case, Detective Melancan has chased leads behind the scene for six years to no avail…until he meets a strung out, pregnant drug addict named Trish who has been marked by the cult. She, along with several other women, have been chosen to give birth to the body parts of the entity they worship–The Tetromet. The cult has plans to gather the body parts, assemble their demon in the flesh, and release him onto the world.
Time is of the essence, as the cult has collected most of the body parts. Trish, his son, the murders, and the cult are all connected. Now, with Trish’s help, Detective Melancan must find the final pregnant female before she gives birth and the cult can assemble their god. This is the hour of darkness. This is the rise of the Tetromet.
