A little slow to burn at the beginning (not a complaint) but as per usual with the genre and this particular author, it reached a searing climax and things generally made sense while leaving plenty of questions still to be answered. I’m eagerly awaiting my next foray into Julian Miles’ universe of horrors. D.I.Higgins returns from ‘Single White Male’ and honestly I couldn't put this book down. The mystery, violence and high stakes have been turned up to 11 here. Bravo sir, Bravo!
