I Ain't Writing No Damn Review...
...I mean, I already wrote the foreword to this. So look, just pick up all the previous PHOBIAS then read this to find out what I think. And also the stories, I suppose.
Loved Season One
My first review of 2022! Over the past six months I have gotten to know GJG as an author, as a coauthor, and as a friend. His first season of phobia’s was fantastic. Each story feels personal and painful. With twist and turns GJG transforms each story into something special. This is a must read for everyone. Thank you for allowing us to take part in your journey. All the best in 2022, can’t wait to read more!
A devastating end to a great series!
The first of these "mundane tales of terror" fits nicely in the mold that Gary has created with the series-weird bizzarre and unexpected. But then the rest of the collection--while a departure in some respects from his other entries, the vignettes are in some ways even more terrifying than what has come before. These are stories that are personal in an uncomfortable way, and written with such skill as to make you feel the fears, the despair. I have been impressed by everything Gerhard has put out there on godless, and I would recommend picking up all of the 'Phobia series including this stunning capper to Season 1 (and I will anxiously await Season 2). Highly, highly recommended!!
