Not your mother's Zombie story
This isn't your typical zombie book. The way the zombies are created is quite unique as are the zombies themselves. I enjoyed the different monsters Team Foxhound encounters, there's a few surprises along the way. The way the author described his characters I could see them in my mind. I will admit this book started slow for me, but once things got going the action didn't stop.
Full of action and carnage
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. I don’t normally read books about zombies, but I was pleasantly surprised. Blackstone did a fantastic job at making this a unique book. I really enjoyed the setting and the characters. When FoxHound arrived at Castle Frankenstein the action really picked up as they tried to hunt down Isenstadt. First, they would have to deal with his army of Nazi zombies which they seemed to enjoy. As they worked their way through the train and closer to Isenstadt the carnage and bloodshed gets worse. There are some AMAZING fight scenes giving the reader a front row seat to the action. This really is a book that you will not want to stop reading. The action is so fast paced and interesting it’s hard not to stay engaged. You want to know what is coming next! Brillant work! "How little the world knows about what is soon to be unleashed upon them."
