Let me say up front that the very concept of erotic horror is completely foreign to me. I can't imagine there being anything erotic in fear or pain or forcible restraint. On the erotica scale from bodice-ripper to torture-pr0n, I'm down at the '.... she slowly unlaced her corset' level. Needless to say, I'm clueless how to approach reviewing a work in this genre. Normally I would compare it with something well known so I could help the reader relate, but I'm struggling to come up with a comparable entry in this particular genre. So let's split it up and address the erotic and horror components separately. Luckily for me, it's not really erotica in the midst of horror, it's erotica in-between the horror which makes all the difference to me. Demons get off on the screams and the terror, not the sex--rape has been a primary component of the demon toolbox since demons were created. Erotica first. It's very well written erotica, as good as any out there. I'd wish there was more foreplay and the scenes were longer, but the participants are bikers and perhaps their sex is shorter and more explosive and a little rougher and this obviously suits some. Horror next. There's a reason it is not advisable or healthy to summon demons or evil spirits. Theoretically anyone can do it and it's as easy as buying a Ouija board and making the space conducive to the transfer, i.e., remove crosses, bibles, reader's digest magazines, Buffy and Dresden episodes, &c. Perhaps add a poster of Crowley or a Baphomet statuette. But, alas, demons can come un-summoned with no mission other than evil or perhaps on an errand for a darker Lord. I suspect they have quotas, you know like parking tickets or hearts of virgins. And that seems to be the case in this book, that they found some virgin hearts and came to reap them. And what reapers were sent here? The royalty of demondom, the top guns, the eldest! In legend, Naamah was Lilith's sister and might have been the original Siren as one meaning of her name is 'pleasant song'. Between the two of them they were the consorts or wives of most of the famous biblical figures in history: Adam, Noah, Solomon, Ham, Gilgamesh, et. al. Lilith and Naamah were the two mothers who contested possession of a child before Solomon to test his wisdom and holiness and they will contest each other here, but in deadly earnest, not as a team test. And then there's the really bad demon, Samael, the evil pimp. He's the incubus to the succubus Naamah. Legends claim he's right-hand man to Satan, one of the original archangels, and the sire of Lilith's and Naamah's incubi and succubi offspring. I love the quote Eldritch prefaces the chapter with, it reminds me of Aziraphale from 'Good Omens': "“I am not a minion of evil. I am upper management.” ~ God’s Archangel of Death, Samael" And now that we've filled out one side of the scorecard, let's add two innocent Southern Baptist virgins on the opposing team side. Game over, right? But the virgins have an unexpected random assist from four determined bikers, one of which is Lilith the reformed sister of Naamah and thus the unexpected joker in the deck. In 'The Dark Tower' King had the innocent young boy Jake find the Gunslinger else he would have been wiped off the board before the story began. Eldritch is an unabashed Stephen King fan and often cites him as influence. And this is a classic Stephen King setup--a confrontation between innocent good and ultimate evil. And if good wins out, here's Eldritch's promise: "... If, a big IF…; you can bet the sequel will start with the celebratory orgy." I guess that's a confusing title for a review, but it's the truth. I've never read hardcore erotica before so I can't say for certain that I have yet, but I'm pretty sure I have. I won't load this review down with warnings. If you check the 'Look Inside' feature of the book, you'll get your warnings about things that might make you not like this book that have nothing to do with the story. Now, on to the story. I focused on it more after I read it the first time. As I noted, having never read hardcore erotica again, that aspect pulled me out of the story. However, it's relevant to the story and never pulled me too far away. That's a fair accomplishment (and kudos to the author) considering I've never read this kind of book before. What you have at the core is as complex and simple as any novel can get. Not an easy feat to pull off. There's the story of boyhood friends/enemies who meet over a stolen bicycle, then later in life while seniors in high school. Don't worry, I promise no spoiler. Needless to say, other characters become involved and the bicycles turn into motorcycles and biker-gang lifestyle. But there's also a very spiritual (scary) part to it, which comes later. Like everything in this book, this is a progression (I skipped another one - no spoilers) that follows naturally from the previous. Things seem slow at the beginning, but the events and dialogue are well paced, raw, and honest. If you give this book a chapter (which is easy to do), you'll soon find yourself in a hell you would never imagine at the beginning of the book. That being said, I don't know if the back of book summary goes that far into the plot. I don't like to read that stuff. Just the premise. Otherwise half the book's already been read for me. The writing in Bikers Haunt is, as noted, raw and pulls no punches. It's also expertly crafted and intelligent. If you're looking to dip your toes into the world of hardcore erotica, but still want a satisfying story, this is the book for you. If you've never read hardcore erotica, read it anyway. Just pretend no one knows you're reading it. You won't be disappointed. All in all, a beautifully crafted book in hard packaging. I recommend it without reservation. I don't mind if you hold it against me. You've been warned. This book isn't for kids and, maybe, not for a lot of adults.

Biker’s Haunt completely blew me away. I was actually not prepared for how excellent of a book this would be because this genre is a new one for me. I like horror and I like paranormal so I thought, why not? Man oh man! Set in sizzling Corpus Christi, Texas, the book starts off with a hot bang and does not stop. I was pleased that even though the story is a fantasy type, the scenes were super-realistic and pleasantly descriptive; NOT cheesy. I highly recommend Biker’s Haunt to anyone looking for a five-star delicious read that they’ll be thinking about long after the last page closes.
