Three Little Birds by Tim Murr
A short, shocking stocking stuffer to make your holidays a little creepier. Tim Murr, the author of The Gray Man, My Skull is Full of Black Smoke, Neon Sabbath, and more, offers up a tale of three young girls with special abilities, haunted by a shadowy figure that can walk through their thoughts and memories. “Three Little Birds” is Murr’s riff on Gialli like Deep Red, mixing a faceless threat and paranormal abilities
Short and Super
Great introduction for the shadowy figure! Enjoyed this short scare tactic and the super powers to boot.
Great idea. Worth checking out!
Three Little Birds was an exciting little surprise!
I woke up this morning to see that Tim Murr had released this little story for free on Godless. I loved the cover, so I fixed myself a coffee and dove right in; and let me tell you, the water was fine. I am not familiar with Gialli's Deep Red, upon which Three Little Birds is based, but Murr's story is pretty dang good, and could have easily been expanded to novel length. Tim. Hint. Hint. Or perhaps you could give us a sequel...?
