If you're familiar with Benetti's works you know he's a master of gross out bizarro type horror that borders on ridiculousness. But these stories, these stories are so very different from anything I've read by him. While there is still humor in some of them, all of these stories evoke strong emotions, at least from me. International Death Day and Steel Dragon made me tear up, El Perdido was dark, The Man in Purple Hat was terrifying because it really could happen. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say I loved every story.
