I’m not sure what I just read. Holy hell. This is my first extreme read. This book is so well written you would think Boote has been writing extreme for years. Great description, good (is that ok to say good??) story line. Bit it’s been weeks and I’m still reeling .

"Man's Best Friend" by J. Boote Please priceed with caution in regards to this read as it is an extreme horror novella and NOT for the faint of heart Terry just wants to be loved. Keith just wants to know who keeps messing with his dog. Both are going to find out what revenge really means. This was J. Boote's first attempt at extreme horror and you'd honestly never know this was his first attempt. Based on real events, this story is a topsy turvy ride. It's sickeningly disgusting and full of depravity. 3 �

When I first started this book I knew I would only have a little bit of time so I thought I would just read a little. Little did I know I would finish it all in one sitting. Right out of the gate this was disgusting and it only got more and more vile culminating in an ending that I cannot write about without being banned from all social media platforms! Considering this was this author’s first foray into the extreme genre it felt like he was a veteran. There were quite a few parts which I had a physical reaction to and I am never, never, never going to be getting a dog! I am used to extreme horror but this had some shenanigans that really made me question my life choices. I thoroughly enjoyed every twisted second of this I just wish it were longer.

Keith finds out some weird stuff has been happening when he leaves home. He decides to leave work early to catch the person in the act. Keith is shocked when he learns what is going on and starts planning his revenge. From the first page to the last this story will have you grossed out and waiting to see what’s coming next (pun intended). After reading the first paragraph I was already shocked and thought “oh hell this is where we’re going?” So, buckle up! It’s a brutal ride that gets worse as the story progresses. Boote decided to take a dip in the extreme pool and nailed it. Bravo on a short that will have you seeing and smelling things you wish you hadn’t.
