Into This World by Chad Farmer (Emerge #13)
Warren, after being estranged from his evil and sadistic cult mother Rune (who believes in aliens) and a brainwashed sister, attempts to lead a normal life with his wife and soon-to-be-born son.
However, things don't go as planned when Alamathea kidnaps the newborn baby. Warren is forced to once again face the family he once fled from. Rune has otherworldly plans for her grandson which involve an "elite extra-terrestrial" race. Now Warren must fight for his and his son's life against and an unknown and terrifying agenda.

This story was a good one. When I first read the description and blurb I figured it was going to get pretty crazy and I would be in for a wide ride. I loved the plot, which can sometimes be tricky with short stories, but this was engaging and wrapped up nicely at the end. If you love dark cults and aliens bent on dominating the pathetic human race that we are… you’ll definitely want to check out, Into This World, by author Chad Farmer. Enjoy!
