📣 LOOK WHO'S TALKING

“Propulsive, claustrophobic and genuinely creepy, Hollow reads like pure nightmare fuel. I legitimately think I’ve got a fear of all things subterranean now.”
-Robert P. Ottone, author of The Vile Thing We Created and the Bram Stoker Award-winning novel The Triangle

🔪 ALL THE GORY DETAILS
In the depths of a vast, foreboding cave, where silence whispers of unspeakable horrors, three friends embark on a treacherous journey to unravel the mysteries that lie within. HOLLOW is a gripping horror novel that will send shivers down your spine and keep you enthralled until the final, heart-pounding revelation.

Driven by a desperate search for their missing friends, the trio ventures deep into the labyrinthine tunnels, unaware of the malevolent forces that await them. With each step, they unknowingly play into the hands of the spirits that dwell within the shadows, eager to manifest their darkest fears and subject them to unrelenting torment.

As the friends become entangled in the never-ending maze, theñ. boundary between reality and nightmare blurs. Their quest for answers quickly transforms into a harrowing battle for survival, as they confront their own personal demons while fighting to escape the clutches of the malicious spirits.

Enter if you dare

The praise for this one is so well deserved, the writing style, description, the atmosphere that levels you holding your breath. I was hooked from the beginning. A read that makes you question your sanity and brings your anxiety up to a 9. We follow a normal trip to meet friends with Tyler and Robyn turns south as their friend Birdie goes on an unorthodox rescue mission deep underground. To say this book made me claustrophobic was an understatement, time has no meaning in the labyrinth beneath Linkville and with all the twists and turns this story takes. I mean wow, visually the descriptions and storytelling are beautifully done. I had moments where my heart was racing just reading about this place and I wasn't even there! This pushes the boundaries of the characters and the bonds they share. Birdie is desperate to find his brother and his wife, whereas Tyler and Robyn are there out of loyalty. Then you have these creatures, not to mention the barefoot robbed disciples of the cave. Nothing is what it seems in this maze of madness, which means even the reader is second-guessing the next move. The horror element in this story is high, bringing a sense of Descent like dread. Mixed in with the Time Trap style tale and weaved together by the Man of Median style survival tale. As the story moves on and develops so too do the characters in this masquerade of depravity. Dark secrets are brought out into the open and no one feels they can trust anyone, even themselves. Which makes for a brutal tale of self-discovery and self-preservation, the nearly twists and turns it takes and long with tooth-pulling fear. And I'm not just talking about molar man, will have you second-guessing any decision to venture underground or into the dark. Mike pours an entire cast of strong characters into a volatile situation and pushes them to breaking point. Leaving all the reader to do but read and watch as the horrors unfold on each page.

Fourth Linkville Series (Stand-alone)

Let me start out with If you love spine tingling scares then “The Hollow” is absolutely claustrophobically frightful. It’s a dark twisted tale of lost souls in cavernous dark mazes with nightmarishly, dark paranormal entities and creepy crawlies. Where time seems to passes differently in the dark. Nothing is as it seems and you will be left trying to piece together the ups and downs, twists and turns with no hope in sight. After reading this book. I have no doubt I will be staying above ground. This was my first book I’ve read by Mike Salt and I did not know what I was getting myself in to. I was shocked to learn “The Hollow” is the fourth book in the Linkville series. Thankfully, they are all stand alone and nothing has been ruined by reading out of order from my understanding. I’m now dying to read the rest, specially if they are all this good.
