Jordan ignored the strange questions asked by the group and shrugged off the illness he contracted afterward as a coincidental twenty-four-hour flu bug.
When the restaurant invites him back though, Jordan is less than confident. However, this time they're offering him six hundred dollars for his feedback.

Australiaweird but excellent
Weird but excellent story, I have read a few books by S.C. Mendes now, and I find his writing is like a M. Night Shyamalan movie, I don't always know where things are going or why, but i like it, and for a short story it sure has a lot of story packed into it.

What I love about Mendes' writing is that the horror isn't in your face. That's true of all his books. This story pulled me in and made me want to figure out what was happening. You can never go wrong with this author!

When Jordan needs some quick cash, he answers a Facebook ad for a food taster. Getting paid to eat, perfect right? But everything comes at a price, it might be easy money but it comes with a downside, a very bloody, nightmare stricken downside. But Jordan keeps going back, and slowly unravels the truth behind things. Will he continue after the Talons restaurant seems to wink out of existence? Will he become a sin-eater? From the brutal opening of this story, I was intrigued, and my curiosity was piqued throughout. There's a lot packed into this short story and it's all pretty much saturated in blood! But don't let that ruin your appetite for more…….Im hoping there will be more!?
